Meatbreak Lonely Asteroid takes the listener on an elegant path through the cosmos, riding it’s twinkling vapor trail of dust, and ice. From the same UK-based duo of Llannoc (musics) & Kryptorgeist (artworks), as the cosmopheric black metal project Nebula Mori, this shares the haunting ambience, in a more ethereal form. Graceful, sparkling melodies flicker across the slowly arcing trajectory of this album, in this emotive experience of cosmic synth. Favorite track: The Elegance of Stellar Sculptures.

Music is somewhere between dungeon synth and dreamwave, with bits of dark ambient. Very relaxing, optimistic, and nostalgic.
In some moments it reminds me noir atmosfere of "Blade Runner" soundtrack. Think of "Memories of Green" and then listen to "Wandering Stars". And then there is track "Empty Space", which sound like tribute to Kenji Kawai's score to "Ghost in the Shell". Pure genius!

A lot of these synth based genres that have been popping up in Metal subculture has been unique to say the least, however not many of the projects seem to do their subgenres justice in creating a truly good sound that isn't just a cute gimmick. This is one of the few times, where I feel some songwriting chops exist. The atmosphere created evokes the soundtracks from gritty 80s Fantasy movies. 3.5/5 ClassyMusicSnob
